MY GIRLS

I'm in Love with My Girls
It's a wonderful world
Full of beautiful things
When an Angel gets her wings
The Woman that I married
The Children that she carried
The two that came to stay
And the one that went away

I remember everything
Nothing gets away
The echoes of my memory
Are still with me today
It's like a photo gallery
Somewhere inside my mind
A rainbow-colored tapestry
From another place and time

My Girls, my precious little ones
Playing in the rain and having lots of fun
Making Daisy chains out in the setting Sun
Maybe they can fly, but they sure know how to run
Sometimes when they cry, their mother comes on by
She sings to them so softly, the sweetest lullaby
We’re a long way from anywhere I've ever known before
Is it Home or is it Heaven, I just don't know anymore

My Girls are getting older now
The boys keep comin’ round
I keep both eyes open
But I don't hang around
I guess I'm kind of hopin’
That they might settle down
Somewhere right on down the road
In our little Country Town
